I...well. I had thought I had, but I don't believe she sees me as a serious suitor, and then there's the trouble with Detective Murdoch and her sister, and Miss Moffat and I did have so very much in common, I only worry that it was too much, and anyway: Miss Ogden was quite firmly on my mind at the time. And I did tell Detective Hoffman that courting anyone on the Barge would be fruitless, but I must admit I have felt the temptation. It's all quite confusing.
