A Fond Farewell
Jul. 14th, 2010 01:53 amMy dearest Giselle...
Others around me have cursed their predicament. I have sympathy for this. Some wear the faces of those who have done them wrong or fill them with guilt.
For me, this has been a time of fondness. It is as if you are here with me, to share in the drinking of smiles and song, as once you had done with glee.
I care not who besides me reads these words. I know that, perhaps, you never shall. But I have much to thank you for... If not for you, I would have been consigned to shadow - to destruction. Where you pained me at the start, I will not deny. But so, too, did you enrich me. So, too, did you guide me.
You and my Toshiko, both.
She, though, has said she shall return. What of you, my love? Are you to remain in your land of forever afters?
Yes... I hope you do. I wish you the smiles, rainbows and woodland animal friends your heart desires. I remember your fondness for these things, even though I did not always understand them.
It has been... An honour wearing your face. Just as it was an honour to know you. But doing so shall not last for long. These things never do.
I hope you smile, my dear Giselle.
I wish you the songs of joy you brought to so many hearts around you.
