"Like this, machine? Is this what you would have me do?"
Aleera has managed to balance her new device on a surface in her room. It's the same appearance as ever... A replica of what once were her quarters in Dracula's castle. Her past hasn't changed, even if her status aboard here now has: It's still one of those luxuriously gothic chambers, dimly lit by candles and a constantly burning fireplace. Many skulls of fanged, inhuman creatures could be made out lining the rooms, if one looks close enough through the gloom.
She's peering into what would must be the camera lens. The device might be intuitive, but she's never used such a thing before.
Satisfied with the resulting image, she raises to full height, tilting head this way and that and seems to treat it like a mirror.
"This is most curious..."
After a fashion, the vampiress straightens her posture and smooths down those pink and white silks.
"I am told this shall convey my moving portrait - my spoken words - to all aboard this ship... So! To those amongst you who know not of me, you shall know me as Aleera, bride to-... Hmm... Or perhaps... Formerly bride to Count Vladislaus Dragulia. Some of you know him by other titles, for he held many... Dracula, perhaps. This is no longer my concern. But where once I was 'inmate', now I am 'warden'. Should you seek to ask questions of me, then, please... I am at your service, yes?"
A pause.
A disarmingly dark little grin.
"Good..."
